Document-reading engineer
You own how AccPilot reads receipts, invoices and bank statements: the machine-learning models, the rules around them and the Ready or Check verdict. Malaysian documents in every format and language.
What you will do
- Improve reading accuracy on real Malaysian receipts: thermal prints, handwritten notes, Malay and Chinese vendor names, mixed-language invoices.
- Own the line-item, multi-receipt split and multi-page PDF pipeline.
- Tune the Ready or Check verdict so accountants trust a Ready and act on a Check.
- Build the evaluation set with the document review analysts, and measure every change against it.
- Keep bank-statement parsing working across Malaysian banks as their formats change.
You are a fit if
- Hands-on experience with document understanding, OCR pipelines or applied machine learning in production.
- Comfortable in Python and able to work alongside a TypeScript app.
- You judge your work by accuracy on a held-out set, not by a demo that went well.
- You have patience for messy data. Receipts are the messiest.
